Summary:
Provide companionship, observation, and surveillance of assigned patients that are in the acute care hospital setting. Summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance. Functions under the direction, instruction and supervision of the staff nurse and Manager.
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and write consistent with job requirements. Ability to communicate effectively with patients at the bedside and while using microphone and headset. Ability to communicate with hospital staff and respond quickly to patient behavioral changes. Ability to use discretion and courtesy when working with patients, visitors, and staff. Practices good hygiene and is neat in personal appearance.
